1. Who we are

Roaming Roadsters (“we”, “us”, “the Service”) is an enthusiast website operated by an individual hobbyist. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Mazda Motor Corporation or any of its subsidiaries.

2. What the Service does

We host community features for Mazda MX-5 (Miata) enthusiasts, including a chat assistant that answers questions about the 1990 Mazda MX-5 factory service manual (FSM). The assistant uses AI to paraphrase content from the FSM and to return references (page numbers, diagrams) to help you find authoritative information.

3. Not professional advice

The Service is provided for informational purposes only. It is not a substitute for the advice of a qualified mechanic or automotive engineer. Many procedures involve serious risks of personal injury, fire, electrocution, fuel spillage, and vehicle damage. Always verify safety-critical information against the original printed manual and consult a professional. You assume all risk of any work you perform on a vehicle based on information you obtain through the Service.

4. AI limitations

The Service uses large language models that can produce incorrect, incomplete, or hallucinated information even when grounded against manual content. Always verify torque specs, fluid capacities, electrical values, and safety procedures against the original printed FSM and against the part you are actually working on.

5. Account & eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service (16 in jurisdictions where this is the applicable digital-consent age, e.g. parts of the EU). You are responsible for all activity that happens under your account.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service to commit illegal acts, including violating intellectual property rights of any third party.
• Attempt to extract, scrape, or systematically reproduce content from the Service.
• Submit content that is hateful, harassing, sexually explicit, or otherwise abusive.
• Submit content that infringes third-party intellectual property.
• Submit malware, spam, or attempts to overload the Service.
• Use the Service to compete with us or to train other AI systems.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.

7. User-generated content

When you submit notes, comments, or other content (“User Content”), you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display, and distribute that content as part of the Service. You retain ownership. Community notes are visible to other users; private notes are visible only to you.

You represent that you own or have the right to submit any User Content and that it does not infringe third-party rights.

8. Intellectual property — the Mazda FSM

The 1990 Mazda MX-5 Workshop Manual is copyrighted by Mazda Motor Corporation. The Service does not redistribute the manual; it provides paraphrased explanations, factual specifications, page citations, and diagram references to support owner research and repair. 9. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from the Account page. We may suspend or terminate access at any time for violations of these terms or as required by law.

10. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.

11. Limitation of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS (USD $100). WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, CONSEQUENTIAL, SPECIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOST PROFITS, PROPERTY DAMAGE, OR PERSONAL INJURY ARISING FROM USE OF THE SERVICE.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify us against claims arising out of your use of the Service or your User Content.

13. Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced on this page and via a banner when you next sign in. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States of America and the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in San Francisco County, California.
